Fresh snow
Looking out the window this morning was quite surprised to see it had snowed a lot during the night, covering the entire landscape with a white carpet of ice crystals.
As the morning sun had only crept above the horizon shortly before and the skies were not too overcast, took out my Canon 450D to snap a few photos of the branches covered in fresh snow.
Wanted to make photos with the sunlight at the back, shining through the trees and bushes, illuminating the branches.

With the sunlight peering through into the lens, had to increase the exposure time as the photos made using the recommended ideal exposure by the camera turned out far too dark.
The typical light effect and atmosphere of photographing those branches with the sun facing the camera is very apparent when compared to a photo with a different light source angle or taken in the shadows.
Do like how just changing the angle can create such vast differences, though still have much to learn for correct image composition and best exposure.
This particular bush has very bright red branches which stands out in winter, especially when contrasted against the white snow or dark green of the wooden fence behind it.
Didn’t take much more photos as the skies were becoming more clouded, soon hiding the sun after which it started to snow again.

Oh, I like these photos. Nice ^^
It’s a pain to drive and it’s dirty but snow is so beautiful ^^
Thanks for those photos
