K-ON! figure mania
With Alter’s “K-ON!” Mio and Yui figures being the only scale figure orders I have, save for Alter’s Nanoha from “Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS” which is currently on its way, hoped the figure spending would decrease for some time.
Alas for the already battered budget, looking over the Wonder Festival 2010 (aka WonFes) coverage, the sheer onslaught of “K-ON!” figures from Alter, Max Factory and Megahouse is staggering!
Alter not only shows their gorgeous upcoming figure of Azusa but a new version of Mio as well, featuring the shy bass player in her school festival outfit.
While the expression and finish for Alter’s Azusa looks spot on, her pose doesn’t appeal to me as much as that of Megahouse’s version of Azusa… still, will probably get both.
Max Factory strikes with their own “K-ON!” figures, including one of Mio in her school festival outfit. Not sure which of the Mio school festival figures I will get, if any…
Volks surprised everyone by showing upcoming Yui and Mio Dollfies. While do admire Dollfies, anticipating their price tag and the fact I’m not fully convinced by Mio and Yui’s facial sculpts will pass on those.
Quite a bit of Bakamonogatari figures coming up as well, especially Good Smile Company’s prototype of Senjougahara looks stunning, perfectly capturing her facial expression.

I think the thing that puts me off some potentially awesome figures, is that they might do just the one character.
I’m a man of getting, and having things in sets – so I have Yui and Mio on order (the pair, in their school uniforms, by Alter).
There’s another figure of Mio in maid costume I believe, by a manufacturer I forget – but it’s just Mio! Where’s the rest of the group in their festival attire!? XD
Ohhhh, come on, join us in the Dark Side! You know the Dollfie Dream are calling your name! Otherwise I am going to call Volks up and tell them they need to release Rider DD next XDDDD.
From what I’ve seen the instaget would be the Megahouse’s Armored Klan Klang. I’m interested in Alter’s Kyrie and Armored ClanClan, but would depends on how charged up money cannon will be :p. Orchid Seed’s Ignis of the endless winder has Piqued my interest as well as the Linage 2 Dwarf ^_^
Heh I wonder how fast some of these will sell out after seeing the Figma and Nendoroid pre-order disappearing in minutes! I guess scaled figure are a bit more expensive…
Does anyone know of any places that are offering either of Alter’s Mio or Azusa, Megahouse’s Azusa, or Max Factory’s Mio?
I really need a K-ON figure but it’s hard to find lol

Can relate to preferring to have a complete set by one manufacturer, though looks like Mac Factory will do all the K-ON! girls too, each in different outfits. Not too sure about Megahouse though…

I like the pose in the second Azusa more. I’m not sure if I will get either though. My budget is also stretched thin…
Yeah, I figured they might do a range like that. And as for the pre-orders, even if I’ve hit my ‘figure quota’ up until July, I must order them! XD
Seeing Alter Azusa and completely falling in love with it made me realized I have jumped on the Azusa bandwagon. Look like that hate has completed disappeared. lol
I’m still undecided between MF and Alter Mio school festival outfit. I really want both honestly, but that instantly kill my budget. @_@

Does anyone have decent pictures, where it’s THIS is alter, THIS one is MF etc – just to clear things up (because there are so many other Mio figures around at the moment, I’ve got all kinds of different images of the different ones swelling around my mind lol)

Usually order from Hobby Link Japan but they don’t have her up for pre-order yet though. So instead I went for Hobby Stock, where she is 20% off to boot thanks to their current special commemorative sale.
