Maria†Holic DVD set
With the unstoppable onslaught of irresistibly cute trap Hideyoshi from “Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu”, I’d near forgotten an anime DVD set was due out for the hilarious yuri/trap comedy “Maria†Holic”.
After spotting the release advertised at Archonia, didn’t hesitate and soon purchased it, seeing the price was quite fair to boot.
Released by Sentai Filmworks, the entire series is split onto a double disc DVD set, each disc contains six episodes in widescreen format and features the original Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Browsing through the first disc, video and audio quality looks terrific. “Maria†Holic” is such an hilarious show, seeing Mariya and Kanako’s antics again was great.
Also picked up the “Negima!” volume 25 manga while I was at it, been a while since the previous volume.
Nice new loot, nice to see someone like’s those trap anime. But it would be better to buy volume version of Maria†Holic instead of full. You get more juicy stuff and better video quality.
Ah! Negima vol 25 mine is somewhere out there on it’s way to me.
Maria+Holic was awesome, does that set contain the whole show?

Don’t think “Maria†Holic” had a single volume release outside of Japan, and alas Japanese region 2 single volumes are rather expensive.
Video quality of this set is quite good, to noticeably get better, think it would already have to be HD on BluRay.

Yes, it contains all 12 episode of the anime show. ^^
“Negima!” volume 25 was a great read, had been a whole since the previous volume so kind of forgot how good this manga was.
Oh while Im not into Trap Anime its nice to see that the series is spread among a 2 DVD Set.
They could have sold it as 3 Volumes with 4 epsiodes or even worse 4 volumes aswell.Im glad they finally realized that it sells better this way

I want to buy them this month too… But I’m waiting until Archonia haves Code Geass R2 Vol.4 LE.
Does this count as yuri? Hehe. Yuri/ Trap does sound right though.

Indeed, I welcome the increasing move to lower purchase price value sets like that, it will encourage mor epeople to buy the DVD’s and the video quality here is good.

Have the last volume for Code Geass R2 on pre-order, but as “Maria†Holic” was in stock, they shipped it out right away.

I think it does, love how this series both caters yuri fans with fanservice as well as a good parody/humor at the genre itself too.
