The dependency of Kinoshita Hideyoshi

March 14, 2010

Although had already voiced my concerns before, am now alas forced to reiterate and emphasize the acute and inexcusable lack of screentime and plot attention to the only real star of “Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu”, Hideyoshi.

Not only did we barely see any significant appearances of our beloved trap these past weeks, also starting to suspect they left us Hideyoshi fans to wallow in sorrow at the lack of stellar animation and execution as seen in the nurse attire scenes.

Surely Hideyoshi in nurse uniform is quite the treat but hardly suffices to truly satisfy an else insatiable dependency! And let’s face it, the few shots of Hideyoshi undressing or in Japanese style clothing seen a while ago were better cared for.

If this does not get corrected in the remaining episodes I demand a spin-off series focused on Hideyoshi! (Much like “To Aru Kagaku No Railgun” is to “To Aru Majutsu No Index” for Misaka Mikoto.)

I’m going to run out of loosely applicable words starting with d to make these comically oriented posts…

    Actually in the novels (at least in the 3 first novels) he is a relatively secondary character.

    By the way, for some reason they didn’t animate half the events of the second novel where they organize a China-dress cafe, Hideyoshi included (where he was quite popular among the male clients)

    Katou Emiri ftw. Loved it when Hideyoshi and his sister were talking — Emirin does both voices.

    Hmm, can’t really say much about trap stuff myself XD

    He is okay. If he were not so stupid to see the difference between male and female clothes.
    Maybe one reason why he is in the F-class?

    The all-boy ending scene must be corrected by removing Hideyoshi.

    I’m not saying I dislike Hideyoshi, but I liked seeing Himeji get some more screen time :)

    @Sergio
    Less Hideyopshi in the novels? Blasphemy! >_<
    But I wouldn't mind seeing that China dress cafe~ ^^
    @leecher
    So very true!
    @hashi
    Indeed, am quite impressed with Katou Emiri's performance since she does both voices flawlessly and they're quite distinct.
    @Wolfheinrich
    Give in to the trapness! XD
    @TaikutsuJoker
    Such an error may not continue, they should remove Hideyoshi from the all male ending animation and create a Hideyoshi only ending animation with accompanying song. ^^
    @Nopy
    Well Himeji's a nice character, a bit cliché here and there, but who can resist such a cutie?
