Madobe Nanami anime commercial
Looks like Microsoft is showcasing its cute Japanese Windows 7 mascot character Madobe Nanami in an anime styled commercial. Had read before there were plans for an animated video but only recently spotted the news at Moetron that it is out.
A short video featuring Nanami advertising self-assembling one’s computer, it packs many classic moe moments which don’t fail to hit the mark. かわいい!

Although I do like the Bing mascots too, the original Nanami is the cutest, no doubt thanks also to Mizuki Nana’s excellent voice work, you may know her from roles as Fate in “Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha”, Touma in “Minami-ke”, Rina in “White Album” or Misaki in “Darker Than Black”.
Nice detail in the animation, it clearly shows how Nanami’s eyes sport the different color gradients from the Windows logo.
Nice commercial.
Not to stupid and a bit funny too (moe sells XD).

Well cute sells anything in otaku culture. Although in Western culture they’ve mostly omitted putting scantily clad women in commercials since research shows it doesn’t increase sales at all.

It’s death by moe cute. XD Had spotted a few translated versions around, though the commercial itself is quite understandable even for beginner levels.

But Nanami is freaking cute. Love those gradient eyes. I wonder if they’d make a figure of her…
