More Tachibana Himeko art
Quite luckily for those of us who adore such wonderful art, the many artists that populate Pixiv haven’t relinquished yet in creating works featuring the “K-ON!!” side character Tachibana Himeko.
Although Himeko seems to be the most illustrated background character so far, other side characters like Fuuko, Eri and Akane also feature in plenty of fan art.
Stunning artwork by Cait (Pixiv) with a terrific atmosphere due to the well executed, typical lighting of the evening’s setting sun. Such an image portraying Himeko putting on her loose socks like that can not be anything but incredibly cute!
Another nice illustration by faith (Pixiv) who already shared several such images featuring Himeko with a definite yuri overtone.
Must say that yuri imagery such as this I do adore, with Himeko innocently asleep and slumping against her neighbor who can’t help but blush beet red. No doubt inspired by the Kyoto school trip episode.
This image from ぽりんキー (Pixiv) looks based on a scene from the series but substituted Tsumugi with Himeko.
Seated next to Yui in class, it was all but inevitable that some would rather portray Himeko paired to Yui. Fully expect that pairing to appear in some doujinshi towards the next Comiket.

This time Himeko and her friend are joined by their classmates Eri and another girl who’s tentatively called ‘the girl sitting behind Tsumugi’.
Couldn’t omit this image by 藍夜 (Pixiv) featuring Himeko in the typical style used for the “K-ON!” season one character image single cover art illustrations.

Pretty much as Sergio said, this season Kyoto Animation has take care in rendering the classmates consistently and as background characters some like Himeko have become popular. Do appreciate that the girls are also interacting with their other classmates.

Wonder that too. So far several girls have had brief moments, some like Himeko even with spoken lines.
I love that second image too! The girl next to her is trying to play it cool, but still can’t stop her body’s natural reactions (blushing). ^ ^
Anyways, I can see her as the most popular of the background characters; she stands out the most.
