Spring Flower Show part 2
Already showed you a first batch of photos taken at the Spring Flower Show, but those weren’t the only images from that day so here’s another series of flower photos which I hope you will enjoy.
Packed along a bottle of water to keep sufficiently hydrated while walking across the vast exhibit.
Although it wasn’t unbearably hot and the castle grounds featured an open air bar where refreshments were available, having water on hand for a refreshing drink was quite convenient.

Often kneeling down to get in even closer to the flowers or find a better angle, wonder if it may not be wise to invest in some basic value kneepads such as those worn by rollerbladers or skateboarders for such outdoor shoots?
Recently got a question about the exif data of my photos which seems to be missing because they are saved in png format after resizing and applying a watermark.
Perhaps might consider keeping them in jpeg format to have the exif information saved. Would you be interested in seeing the exif data of my photos?
In the previous post of Spring Flower Show photos mentioned hadn’t been using the Canon 100mm macro lens all that much which is regrettable.
Decided to not yet forsake this excellent lens and recently mounted it to snap some shots whenever possible.
Considering these particular photos here made with Canon’s recent EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens, am pleased with the results I’m achieving with this lens.
So far it’s been a worthwhile investment in terms of value for money.
Nonetheless, still have much to learn about photography and hope to progress while having fun snapping photos.
Feel much work is yet to be done in terms of selecting proper settings to achieve better color balance and lighting results.
Still have too many shots with noticeably different lighting or color atmosphere results.
Creative composition is also something where much growth should still be possible.
Have seen many amazing photos of fellow photographers with terrific composition and atmosphere, this ranging from figure photography, to Dollfie or nature phots.
While I admired and enjoyed all of these wonderful, colorful flowers, not too many felt as if they were really exotic species.
Looking back at these photos now, love seeing all these flowers their vivid colors again.
Saw a lot of people at the event with DSLR camera’s, ranging from entry level models to a few more expensive ones, the same for the lenses they had equipped. Spotted only one person hauling a tripod along though.
The first plants of this particular flower species I ran across at the exhibit were not blooming yet, hence couldn’t make out quite well what the flowers would end up looking like.
Luckily several flower beds further, spotted these that were in bloom, quite the sight to see flowers like that.
You can see more photography here or on the Flickr photo set for the Spring Flower Show.
