Flowers and Yoko
After getting a more casual outfit for Yoko, played around with the idea of posing her with flowers, inspired by other Dollfie owners their wonderful photography creations of their ball jointed dolls with flowers.
Made with these photos of Yoko with a lovely branch of blue, actually more light purple flowers and thought to share them with you all.
Picked these flowers since their moderate size and the fact they spawn with a dozen or more on a single branch made them ideal to use compared to a DD’s size, they were an excellent starting point.

Adore the above shot which creates the impression Yoko is being shy, hiding behind the flower.
Am quite pleased with the results of this particular photoshoot, Dollfie Dream Yoko’s lovely facial expression is just perfect for this type of photography.
この花、いい香りですね。

Opted to keep Yoko’s face in focus even if that meant the flowers themselves would be out of focus.
A trial shot of focusing on the flowers and having Yoko’s head blurred in the background didn’t lead to a pleasing composition so quickly abandoned that route.
While Yoko herself was safely seated and the camera secured on a tripod, had a harder time to position the small flowery branch so that it wouldn’t fall over or slide away.
In many shots had to hold the flowers by hand or keep them from falling, while holding the camera wired remote trigger in the other hand.
Was a mix of indirect daylight and a few warm color temperature soft bulb energy saver lamps which created decent lighting conditions.
Used a tripod to stabilize the camera, so slower shutter speeds weren’t an issue. Shooting freehand would have risked camera shake even with higher ISO settings, but I preferred being able to photograph Yoko in a relaxed setting with the camera resting on the tripod.
Signing off with this cute shot of Yoko holding the flower in front of her, she looks so adorable! Will definitely create more DD and flower photography in the future.

She’s so cute ^^ Love the 3rd shot!
I simply must get round to doing the ‘doll with flowers’ thing, it is always so beautiful. I love flowers, I love dolls, of course they should go together.
I think a trip to the Southsea public Rose Garden is in order.
Interesting photos. I’m not that much into Dolfies but I like looking at the photos depicting their numerous incarnations.
Nice pictures.
To get a nice light is not easy.
@anonymous_object
Thanks. ^^
@aquilla
Like photographing flowers so when getting into Dollfies which was also for the photo opportunities, this seems like a natural progression to have them both in the same frame.
@animefigures
Glad you like the photos.
@GREW
The lighting worked out ok here but indeed, good lighting or rather perfect lighting isn’t always easy.
