Matsuryu C78 doujin “BLANK-6”
Hadn’t mentioned the Comiket 78 release yet of Matsuryu (松竜) from the circle Astro Creep, titled “BLANK-6”.
As the artist who designed Allean (アレイン) for “Queen’s Blade” and illustrated the book for the battle instructor elf, always liked Matsuryu’s style, especially the renderings of Allean are gorgeous.

My favorite illustration by far is this one of Nanasaki Ai, the irresistibly cute girl from the swimming team in “Amagami”.
Approaching twenty pages, the “BLANK-6” color doujin book is filled with full page illustrations and several two page spreads of various characters from different franchises.

A more risqué image of a shapely, very well endowed maid in quite a revealing maid uniform. Looks based on the already rather revealing maid gear from “He Is My Master” but taken a level further.
Compared to Matsuryu’s previous artworks of Allean, other elves or school girls, there’s a few works in this doujin that do not really appeal to me as much as those previous works.

Some of the images in “BLANK-6” do not feel as polished, but a bit darker, more raw.
They’re still quite excellent, like the above one which has a rich autumn color palette, but they’re not entirely what I was hoping to see from this artist. Which of course honestly means only my own expectations are at fault there.

Like the two page spread featuring characters from “Rebuild of Evangelion”, especially the tsundere rendition of Asuka is spot on.
Asuka in cooking apron or scantily clad maids? Life holds difficult choices…
Don’t forget to check out Matsuryu’s homepage for more of this artist’s great work.

personally i like the 3rd picture the most though Σ(゚Д゚;)
I’ve always really liked Matsuryu. This artist’s girls are always really sexy. Anyways, a while ago I got a calendar featuring several different artists, Matsuryu’s artwork was among my favorites. Love the third image. ^ ^
@ayatsuji
Really? I do love its autumn color palette and the lethal looking girl in that military uniform looking outfit, but it’s not the type of material am used to from Matsuryu. In that sense this doujin surprised me.
@Yi
Matsuryu’s “Queen’s Blade” work is among my favorite of the series. Sounds like a nice calendar to feature several such artists, which one was it?
Hrmm… I personally prefer #2, Here’s hoping he illustrates more than one book in QB: Rebellion ^_^, Also Rebellion seems to be starting to ramp up the character Line up now. (Am quite interested in the Ghost Pirate Girl ^_^)
@Devastator001
Oh, maid fetish? =P
Speaking of illustrating more than one book, Mahiru Izumi has another “Queen’s Gate” book he illustrated, more on that soon.
I think it was a calendar featuring fanworks of characters from Nitro+ and Type Moon.
