Blue Blue Wave

Praying to her departed mother, Kanako expresses how much has happened these past three months at Ame No Kisaki.
Now, the day has finally come for Kanako to rejoice, for it is the last week before the summer holidays begin which means they will have swimming class every day!

When Yuzuru and Sachi ask Kanako why she’s so happy, Kanako soon thinks of seeing all the girls in swimsuit and has an explosive bloodnose.
Rushed to the infirmary, she quickly recovers, assuring the school nurse and her teacher Kumagai that she can attend the afternoon swimming classes.

To her surprise Kumagai and the nurse both state they will attend as well since they bought new swimsuits anyway. Kanako is even more dazzled once she sees all the girls dressed in two piece swimsuits instead of the normal school type swimsuits.
Sachi explains that Ame No Kisaki doesn’t enforce wearing school swimsuits but lets the girls wear any swimsuit they like.

As her eyes take in all the swimsuit clad maidens around her, Kanako soon faints, falling in the pool. Thanks to a quick reaction of the gym teacher, Kanako is brought out of the water and given mouth to mouth resuscitation.
Relishing in the touch of the gym teacher’s lips, Kanako couldn’t be happier when her friends, Kumagai and the school nurse all demand to give her mouth to mouth too.

Kanae Touichirou, a young, dashing Catholic priest who teaches at Ame No Kisaki, makes his way to school, besieged from all sides by students fawning over him.
Little do they realize the odd priest that always addresses his deceased mother in an inner monologue (much like Kanako continuously does) barely sees them as his eyes are drawn onto none other than Mariya.

Quickly noticing the beet red face of the priest, Mariya takes fully advantage of this opening to show her most delicate and enticing smile, shaking the priest to his very core.

Kanae also takes note of Mariya’s companions, Kanako and Matsurika. He seems especially concerned about Kanako, who was the only student forced to follow the remedial classes he teaches and always acted very nervous around him.

While pondering over this Kanae notices Matsurika’s eyes glance towards him and grossly misinterprets her look as that of a maiden in love with him.

Kanako couldn’t be happier, the students at Ame No Kisaki have switched to their summer uniforms, making every one of the girls a feast for Kanako’s eyes. In an irresistible pose, Mariya shows off her summer uniform, causing Kanako to suffer massive blood loss.

Alas Kanako’s joy is short lived, as Ame No Kisaki’s period of finals and assignments is both long and gruesome. Kanako is not only shocked to see Mariya ranks highest for every subject with a perfect score, she also learns from their teacher Kumagai that she and Kiri both rank worryingly low.

Having assumed Kiri to have good grades due to her ’studious bookworm with glasses’ image, Kanako is shocked to learn it isn’t so. When Sachi kindly offers her notes for Kanako to use, Yuzuru intersects it’s a nice gesture that sadly will be of no use, which later proves true.

Back in their room, Kanako mentions her grades and questions Mariya how it’s possible she ranks at the top with a maximum score for every subject, she also ponders out loud who this person also called Matsurika is that also has a perfect score streak.
