Happy New Year! あけましておめでとうございます。今年もよろしくおねがいします。 Auguri buon anno!
I wish everyone a fantastic 2009 filled with lots of joy, laughter, success, fun and that you may enrich your life every day.

As far as New Year’s resolutions go, I plan on continuing with Japanese class and having fun learning the language, enjoying anime and my other interests, working on this blog, expanding my career or taking it in a different direction if it cannot evolve,… mostly just enjoying life to the fullest and making something of this journey.

Blogging remains as popular as ever so I thought I’d join and start a more elaborate blog here on WordPress compared to what was possible at MyAnimeList. Perhaps I’ll migrate it to it’s own spot on the web later, who knows.

The title of this blog is inspired from the song ‘Blue blue wave’ by Kaori, from the “Aria The Natural ~Tooi Kioku no Mirage~” (Aria The Natural ～遠い記憶のミラージュ～) video game, which is based on the “Aria” manga and anime series.
While we may not be in Neo-Venezia on Aqua, the idyllic world we see in “Aria”, it is that type of atmosphere and world one dreams of that I strive to live for. A life where each day is filled by living your passion, finding something worthwhile and fun in every moment.

Next to the title, I also use ‘Blue blue wave’ as user name here on WordPress since the one I would usually take and am known under at different forums and boards was already taken. Find that very odd though it was already in use, I mean, who would ever use ‘Smithy’ anyway? Such an uncommon and unusual name…

On the first image header you see the very cute undine Atora Monteverdi from “Aria”. While she only appeared briefly in the series, I found her a very interesting and appealing character.

To begin with I will mainly share reviews or summaries of anime series with you, but I’ll also speak about things related to the anime otaku culture, computer related topics as well as observations about those things I am passionate about throughout this voyage we call life.
And who knows whatever may come up in the future that will be posted here, we will see.

So we set off to continue our voyage, gliding along the currents while the undine skillfully steers our gondola towards the horizon.
