More Akiyama Mio!
The fan craze for the irresistible Akiyama Mio from “K-ON!” seems to know no bounds. From every otaku blog, image board and news site, she is everywhere.
To be honest, I too cannot resist all the cute images and nice illustrations I see of the lovely bass player.
Decided to share a few of my favorite ones that I ran across the past days.
This particular image by CH@R of Mio in her outfit seen in the ending sequence of “K-ON!” is excellent, in fact that appearance seems to be the most common one in which artists portray her.
Although only three episodes of the anime have aired, we’re already seeing the first Mio cosplay images appear!
Even prized instruments are adorned with images of the “K-ON!” beauty, turning them into the music instrument equivalent of the itasha (a car adorned with anime character art).
Nice change to see Mio portrayed in below vector art wearing the regular, light summer clothes we catch a glimpse of during the opening sequence.
When was the last time a series with several cute girls in the main cast so obviously had one definite fan favorite that took the otaku world by storm, creating a fan frenzy that nearly eclipses her co-stars into oblivion?
The link between “K-ON!” and “Lucky Star” is quickly made, Kagami from “Lucky Star” was often the fan favorite, but the other “Lucky Star” girls, Konata, Tsukasa and Miyuki held their own well and had a good share of fans.
Haruhi from “The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi” wasn’t especially favored over Yuki and Mikuru, each was clearly created along a specific character set so they appealed to fans of different types.
Lovely Mio artwork by artist Nagi. Image boards like e-shuushuu and moe.imouto yield a wonderful treasure of “K-ON!” images.
The below one is really cute. Based on a magazine illustration, it shows what Mio might look like if Yui had her way of dressing her up in a cute, fluffy outfit.
Think they should let Yui loose on Mio to do that, the result would be very moe as we can see here.
Even famous otaku Danny Choo is quite taken in by the lovely bass player and other sites like Sankaku Complex often post “K-ON!” related finds, from wallpaper galleries to cosplay and other interesting bits.
Sigh… Mio is LOVE. I specially love the third pic.
Char + Mio = excellent
Then again, I’m hoping artists will get tired of the same old Mio in her ending dress and draw more of the relaxed or cute Mios soon.
fan power is really amazing lol ^^;
we will see figures soon! =D
Yea, Mio is by far the cutest girl from K-On! The first image is so cute, particularly because her dress is very nice.
