“Candy☆Boy” Kanade & Yukino figures coming

May 10, 2009

Otaku comrade Danny Choo reported that Good Smile Company revealed the pre-order information for the upcoming Kanade and Yukino “Candy☆Boy” figures.

The 1/8 scale PVC figures are both due out in September and will have a suggested retail price of ¥ 6,800 each.

Candy Boy figures

Sculpted by Miki Sakurazaka, they look really spot on and absolutely fabulous, from the great facial sculpts to the detailed uniforms, hair, jewelry and hairpins.

Knowing they’re made by Good Smile Company the mass produced figures will look terrific like these promotional master figures.

The official “Candy☆Boy” website and Good Smile Company website have images and details up for both figures.

Earlier suspicion of the figures having alternate hands was confirmed as each will come with replaceable arm and hand parts to allow them to be posed separately as well as together with their hands intertwined.

Kanade figure

Like the fact that Good Smile Company will release both Kanade and Yukino at the same time, wasn’t thrilled with the prospect of the figures possibly having a separate release date.

Will be getting both anyway and I gather most “Candy☆Boy” fans that are interested in the figures will get both sisters as well. Wonder if they’ll ever make a Shizuka one?

Yukino figure

You can already find them up for pre-order at online shops such as HobbyLink Japan and Hobby Search. My order is already in!

As to be expected, Kanade looks absolutely wonderful, but Yukino… iduno, a bit too… airheaded no? :p

Really? I think she looks more happy-go-lucky. Quite happy the sculpts are so fateful to the series’ art.

Yes, GSC and Max Factory prices are becoming frightening…
A saku-chan figure would be great, with included landscape part for her to hide behind while holding a camera to take snapshots of Kanade. XD
