Flower and leaves
Still had these snapshots around of flowers and leaves taken on a warm, sunny day.
It’s been a lot cooler here these past days so alas it looks like summer season is over, luckily these photos do remind me of the soothing warm sun rays of this year’s summer.
As usual, took these photos using the Canon 450D, equipped with Canon’s EF 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens.
Because the macro lens can capture so much detail that often gets lost when downsizing, again chose to include a crop out of a section of these photos, so you can have a better look at some of the minute details.
Or maybe I should just upgrade my Flickr account to Pro so I can upload the original canvas sizes?
While flowers like those above may seem more interesting photo subjects, there’s a definite beauty about leaves as well.
A simple tree branch rife with uniquely shaped and colored leaves can be quite stunning if you take a moment to truly observe it, taking in all the elements like the different shades of green or more vivid color differences, or the varied vein shapes.
Love these particular leaves, the way their edges are curving like waves, the alternating color patterns of pale green, brown and faded yellow.
One of the things I like about dabbling a bit in photography, even if it’s just at a basic level, is that it does give you the opportunity to try and look more at the subject in front of the lens, admiring it or observing it like you had perhaps not done before.
Even a leaf can become an artful subject that way.
Hmmm, you could get a cheap VPS or shared hosting account ^^. Then you’d have all the space you’ll (probably) ever need! You’ll just have to administer apache/wordpress/mysql on your own but I have the feeling you can handle that 😉
@Anony
But that requires effort and money! Which I could spend on anime figures instead! XD
A Flickr Pro account is like $24.95 a year and I have unlimited upload and no restriction on resolution. I run out of space too easily on the regular account.
