Allean elf art by Matsuryu

Just spotted this terrific illustration of Allean (Arein / アレイン) created by Matsuryu (松竜), the artist who originally designed the warrior elf character for the “Queen’s Blade – Allean” book from the “Queen’s Blade” visual book based combat series.

Out of all the “Queen’s Blade” character designs, Allean easily became my favorite. Matsuryu was able to design a character that is far more appealing and not as logic defying as some of the other characters.

Love this particular illustration of Allean. Shown resting on a tree trunk, Matsuryu rendered the shapely elf with a certain peaceful, even melancholic gaze that also radiates certainty and defiance, she has a firm grip on her combat staff and looks ready to engage into battle at any given moment.

Featured in the “Dengeki Otona no Moeoh Illustrations” artbook, there is also this very sensual illustration of an elf bathing created by Matsuryu.

While she certainly looks like Allean, the eye and hair color of this elf are different. Undoubtedly, Matsuryu either based the design for this elf on Allean or vice versa.

She does look stunning and quite enticing, can only imagine Allean in this pose and setting.
