Saber Lily has arrived

October 14, 2009

One of the most anticipated figure releases this year that appears on every otaku’s wish list, even if they aren’t fans of “Fate/stay night”, is Good Smile Company’s Saber Lily ‘Distant Avalon’ figure.

Was quite anxious when many otaku comrades already received their Saber Lily figures and my order from Hobby Link Japan still showed her as not yet released. Luckily she shipped out soon after and when I came home this evening was nicely surprised to see she had arrived!

Had almost canceled my pre-order for Saber Lily as she is quite expensive, but am glad I kept my order for she’s absolutely gorgeous, superb quality and finish, a stunning figure worth every extra penny.

Took a quick snapshot of her still boxed, though looks like I’ll have to invest in a decent lighting rig. Will do a full photo review of her another time, but you can catch good reviews of Good Smile Company’s Saber Lily from meronpan, lightningsabre and icie.

I’d have to agree that it was totally worth it. The quality that this figurine exudes is just really awesome and I have very few complaints about this one. Might have been a lot, but it was well-spent IMO.

Oh my, yes she does look great. >w< Still waiting on mine though. The site I used is still listing Halloween as the release date.

Totally off topic, but who is the figurine to the right of the box? Looks interesting. 😉

Absolutely true, seeing the price tag when it was originally announced often made me hesitant but once I saw the first photos of her and now having the figure I too can acknowledge she is worth that steeper price.
Well I had also pre-ordered her at Archonia who mark her as due out in November, but I canceled there to pre-order at Hobby Link Japan, a good decision it seems.
Sweet, what lighting rig did you get again?
How could I resist Saber Lily’s awesomeness, great sculpt, pose, cute pantsu… err… 😛
Actually I do like “Fate/stay night” and when I originally saw her though she looked sublime. Though I’m not getting the BRS figure, not my style and haven’t a clue what Black Rock Shooter is about.
That’s Good Smile Company’s Mitsuki Hayase from “Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien” bikini figure. I’ll try and make some photos of her as she looks gorgeous. ^^

Heh, am I the only person that didn’t order her? So many reviews of this figure are floating about ^^

Gratz on your Lily arrival ^_^ I had some fun with her already, and will have one more fun with her before I display her in her permanent place ^^

    Would almost seem that way, wouldn’t it? ^^;;
Ah, there’s my problem right there… a permanent display place. I’ve totally run out of room to put and display any figures. Think I have no choice but to go and get a Detolf or other display cabinet.

LOL as if I have any space… but it’s Saber Lily, so I reserved a space just for her ^_^

Thank-you for the info. She is actually still available and is on her way to me. 🙂

She is? Nice! You’ll enjoy her, it’s a great figure. One of the best bikini figures I’ve ever encounter, superb finish.
