Tony Taka C77 doujin ‘Hitagi ONESIDE’

January 9, 2010

Unlike the ‘Collect 1’ book from Comiket 76 that features art from previous doujin releases and other illustrations, Tony Taka released a typical doujin book at the recent Comiket 77, titled ‘Hitagi ONESIDE’.

A “Bakemonogatari” themed doujin, it contains multiple full page color illustrations followed by a (hentai) story in black and white.

The book not only features several color artworks of Senjougahara and a two page spread of Nadeko from “Bakemonogatari”, but also includes full page illustrations of other girls, such as Ayamani Rei from “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.

Next to the doujin that could be purchased at C77, T2 Art Works offered an extensive goods set which included a blanket, hugging pillow cover, a calendar, clear file, a pencil board and a telephone card.

Many of these goods or even full sets can be found at Yahoo! Action Japan but their price tag is often quite high.

Terrific artwork of Senjougahara, perfectly illustrating Tony Taka’s expert artistry at rendering such sensual images of lovely maidens.

Browsing through the book, can’t help but feel that this time Tony Taka did not include as much full color illustrations of the “Bakemonogatari” girls compared to his other doujin releases which seemed to contain more art of the characters from the series those books were themed after.

While the art of Senjougahara and Nadeko is stellar, would have liked to see a few illustrations of Tsubasa as well, was quite curious to see how Tony would render the irresistibly cute bespectacled class chairman.

Perhaps the artist was pressed for time, which he did seem to allude to in the afterword of ‘Hitagi ONESIDE’.

Had first spotted these scans shortly after Comiket but they alas have a scan shadow and lines.
Meanwhile an English translated version of the C77 doujin ‘Hitagi ONESIDE’ has surfaced based on much better scans, so you may opt to view those instead.

    How about Kanbaru?
    Any Images of her included?

Tony Taka`s style is always so destinct.Makes you realite its by him yet it doesnt change the characterdesign too much.
And best thing about is that those designs spawn all those precious Ero Figures XD

Alas no, Kanbaru isn’t featured at all in the doujin. No Mayoi, Karen or Tsukihi either. Only Senjougahara, Nadeko and one of Tsubasa in her bakaneko alter ego.
Which is a shame as I’d have loved to see more of all those girls rendered in Tony’s style.

I really like Tony Taka illustration for them sensualism. I made a beautiful work and honor feminine characters. Comiket product are really hard to find, at good price ^^’ I like the illustrator Tinkle (or Tinker Bell) and I see on Yahoo Auction to buy her doujin and artbook ^^’

I’ve always really loved Tony Taka. I think he is by far one of the most sensual illustrators and I have not seen any characters from him that I did not instant get aroused. Although it’s generally the colored images rather than the short hentai that I love, I will still try to look for this.

Love Tinkle too but her work is sadly always very overpriced so I’ve elected to only get normal published books if possible and not Comiket releases for her.
Yes, Tony is one of those few artists who can render nude art with sensuality, arousing beauty without the characters looking vulgar.
Getting the different doujins will be rather expensive so I do recommend the ‘Collect 1’ book he released at C76 which contains some of the best art he made for his past Comiket doujinshi.

Tony’s work always look so exciting ^^ Deeply love it but i don’t actively look to buy his work.
I always admired people who could draw girls with such sensuality and respect. It’s so much more exciting with some clothes 😉
