Yoko catching the breeze
Do not only snap photos of Orchids during weekends blessed with terrific weather, but also take my lovely Yoko outside and what better background to pose her in front of than blooming flowers?
Thanks to thin cloud cover, the lighting was quite neutral, so didn’t have to worry about white balance or exposure time as much as I did about the breeze.
When a strong breeze came on, feared the photoshoot was doomed. Soon realized however that it created new opportunities to pose Yoko as such to allow her flowing hair caught in the breeze to make some interesting shots.
Some of the first photos like above one before the wind picked up, freely posed Yoko to achieve as much of a cute atmosphere as I could, though with the facial sculpt Volks crafted for Yoko, this isn’t difficult as she is lovely.
Know I said it before, but seeing Dollfie Dream Yoko’s like those of Puppy52 and Mai, can’t help but think each time how Yoko is one of the cutest Dollfie Dream out there.
Before actually owning a Dollfie Dream it was hard to fathom why their owners were so enthusiastic about them, but now I know why.
Once it the wind picked up and the hairs of Yoko’s Leeke wig started to flutter in the breeze, altered her pose to play into that atmosphere and hope you like seeing such photos as well.
For those of you wondering about stability in the wind, actually had Yoko standing securely thanks to the Volks saddle type stand which prevented her from toppling over.
As the Volks wood type stands do not have the default possibility to be screwed onto a tripod like the Dollfie World stand, had to put the Volks stand on top of two crates to get the necessary elevation in relation to the flowery background.
A tripod fixation modification to the Volks wood stand is possible, as demonstrated by Dollfie enthusiast Wolfheinrich, but I needed my single tripod to secure my Canon 450D which required a steady position.
Have more photos coming soon, including kimono adventures!

@chun
A few times due to the wind her wig hair would fly up quite a bit, needed to brush it back into some semblance of a do a few times.
