Anime fall season 2010

September 19, 2010

Over here the hot summer days have ended to give way to chilly mornings and evenings, some leaves are already turning red, the first signs of fall. Most currently airing series are nearing their finale, the fall anime season is upon us.

Caught the pre-airing of “Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls” and quite liked it, so will be picking up this series which promises to offer lots of martial combat action and fanservice featuring cute maidens.

Other shows which piqued my interest to sample are “Fortune Arterial”, the anime adapted of the eroge of the same title, as well as “Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai” (The World God Only Knows), a manga now turned anime.

Read positive things about the light novel series “Ore no Imouto ga Konna gi Kawaii Wake ga Nai” (often shortened to ‘Oreimo’), so am curious how the anime adaptation will turn out. Another light novel series turned anime which could be interesting to watch is “MM!”.

Might also check out “Otome Yokai Zakuro” for the fox eared girl shenanigans which do appeal to my liking of animal eared girls. Although am not sure it will be my genre seeing it’s based on a shoujo manga by Hoshino Lily.

Definitely will watch the new OVA episodes of “Queen’s Blade ~Utsukushiki Toushi-tachi~”, “Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail” and “Gundam Unicorn”.

New OVA’s that I’m curious about are the “To Aru Kagaku No Railgun” OVA and “Koe De Oshigoto!” which looks rather hilarious judging by the trailer seen a while ago.

Was sorely disappointed by the “To Love RU” anime, so dropped it after but a few episodes. As such will not be checking out the sequel “Motto To Love RU”.

Won’t be watching “Sora No Otoshimono: Forte”, “Arakawa Under The Bridge 2”, Letter Bee 2” or “To Aru Majutsu No Index 2” for the simple reason I’ve not seen the first seasons of any of those series.

What do you plan to watch this fall?

Psychic Detective Yakumo, Bakuman, Kuragehime, Sorademo Machi wa Mawatteiru, Shinryaku! Ika Musume, Arakawa Under the Bridge 2, Ysouga no Sora, The World God Only Knows, Ore no Imouto ha Konna gi Kawaii Wake ga Nai, and Shiki, continuing from last season.
    I feel overwhelmed already!

I can fathom that, it’s an impressive list! Myself I hope to limit the number of series I’ll watch. Interesting how most of the shows we’re looking to pick up are different, always nice to see varied tastes. ^^

I’m mostly looking forward to the rest of the Queen’s Blade: Beautiful Warriors OVA and the second season Arakawa Under the Bridge.

I was intrigued by the pre-airing of Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, but I’m still unsure if I’ll watch it or not. I’ll check out a few more episodes to see how it develops.

Well, of course my favorite is Oreimo, having read all 6 novels and loving it~ MM, Soraoto 2, To Love Ru, index 2 and sore demo machi wa mawatteiru are anime that I will watch for sure

Fortune Arterial also looks nice, and apart from that Bakuman and The World only God Knows seem to be pretty popular so I’ll give them a try

Haven’t watched the first “Arakawa Under the Bridge”, heard good things about it but never checked it out alas.

Looks like “Sore Demo Machi wa Mawatteiru” could be nice, but I’m not sure if it’ll be more comedy like or slice-of-life. Maybe I’ll check out the first episode when it airs.

I totally forgot about the Queen’s Blade and Railgun OVAs. Will certainly be picking those up. Other than that… We’ll see.
