Mahiru Izumi “Queen’s Gate – Yagyuu Juubei” book out
Hobby Japan has just released a new book in its “Queen’s Gate” series, “クイーンズゲイト 覚醒せし剣姫 柳生十兵衛” focused on Yagyuu Juubei, the female protagonist of their franchise ”Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls”.
Having gotten a first look at the anime adaptation of ”Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls” with the earlier pre-airing and the series about to start this fall season, there’s a more compelling reason I am interested in this book.
The art by Mahiru Izumi (泉まひる, homepage nsfw), the artist who has previously created the artwork for the terrific “Queen’s Gate – Mai Shiranui” book.
Love Mahiru Izumi’s typical style and his particular take on Mai, so didn’t hesitate to order this new book which is available from online retailers like Amazon Japan or Jlist.
Can’t wait for the book to arrive!
Hmmm… I like this ^_^ will have to add it to my bulk book orders when I get around to them ^_^. Also Risty got an interesting new look in Rebellion and doesn’t use her big spiked mace anymore. (Big Spiked Brass Knuckles it would seem). Overall I like her new Rebellion look better ^_^

Brass knuckles also sounds much more like Risty’s style than the spiked mace. Risty was also defeated by the swamp witch, right?
Who was she siding with again, Annelotte or Clodette?
I’ve recently become really fascinated with girls in traditional and samurai clothing and swords. This book looks like it’d be really nice.
@Yi
Will see if I can do a review once the book arrives.
More like she was neutral although Annelotte was going to see her to persuade her to join the Rebel Army, but the swamp witch got there first
Also incase you’re curious on her new look 😀
