Sunset dolls

November 12, 2010

Back in late October, the mid-autumn sun was already set low in the sky by late afternoon, which cast lovely light.

Filtered now and then by a cloud passing by, knew I couldn’t pass up on such terrific lighting that creates a unique atmosphere.

Thinking of you

With Yoko and Shizuko as models, set to photograph them illuminated by the fading sunlight that passed through the blinds and curtains.

Sporting her casual hooded sweater and camo pants from Dollmore, accessorized Yoko with a beanie and cross pendant from Nine9Style which completes her style quite nicely.

Waiting for you

Wearing the same turtleneck sweater dress from Nine9Style which had already captured her in before, am glad I was able to save this outfit which goes Shizuko so well.

On an earlier shoot, intent on photographing Shizuko with some flowers, had missed one lily hidden in the bouquet and before I knew it, the right sleeve had brushed against the stamens depositing dark red pollen on it.

Sassy girl

Luckily was able to remove most of the pollen staining thanks to a clothes cleansing product specifically designed for that type of stain. Though it did wear that part of the right sleeve down a bit.

In the evening sun

Was able to shoot freehand, though did brace myself or the camera against solid surfaces as much as possible for increased stability.

Another setting where a white painted brick wall was also available as background, the light was filtered here by some curtains instead, creating a similar yet also different light and shadow play.

Hey there

Love how below photo of Shizuko turned out, used a purple pillow to pose her on and a purple cloth background.

Also served to test the increased mobility of her head after having successfully applied a neck mod on her DDII body as seen from Puppy52Dolls.

The world is mine

    Thanks, glad you like the photos. Although there’s no religious meaning to it for me, I just got it to have an accessory to use when suitable for the DD girls.

    Merci. ben ce hoodie et le pantalon camo sont les premiers vêtements que j’avais pour elle et cette tenue lui va toujours aussi bien. ^^
    @anonymous_object
    This beanie was actually an included gift from Nine9Style though I do have a white knit one and a black beret for the girls too. They were quite moderately priced.

    I recently adopted Alna and i am now patiently awaiting her arrival, question is i saw alot of awesome clothes from Nine9style and Dollmore but i’m a lil hesitant to start purchasing since i guess the DDdy are different from other DD? Alna’s my first and i would like to start things off right. any hints or specific categories i should be looking into from Nini9 or Dollmore? any help would be very appreciated!

    @Adan
    Congrats on getting Alna, you’ll adore her for sure. ^^
    Yes, the DDDy body has some key differences to the standard DDII, most noticeably the more ample bust and hips. This means that many clothes that fit a DDII might not fit the wider hips or chest of the DDDy.
    So far the things I got from Nine9Style and Dollmore all seem to fit the DDDy body too (mind you I didn’t pick things like skinny pants which are a higher risk at not fitting a DDDy).
    If you get anything from Nine9Style, remove their red label as it will stain the vinyl. Even better, invest in a body stocking for your DD to protect the vinyl skin.
    Most of the Nine9Style things I got were from this category: http://www.nine9style.net//index.php?cPath=88_21
    Dollmore I grabbed mostly stockings, accessories and such.
    @Wolfheinrich
    Thanks, glad you like. ^^
