Ika Musume dakimakura

December 14, 2010

Sensual, fanservice, ecchi, sexy,… these words usually apply to hugging pillow covers adorned with characters of eroge or anime series. Cute maidens showcased in suggestive poses baring plenty of skin on at least one of the dakimakura’s sides, if not on both.

What about cute and moe? Is there no room for those on hugging pillow covers? Rest assured there is!

Straight from the fantasies spawned in Sanae’s mind comes this Ika Musume hugging pillow cover adorned with everyone’s favorite squid girl in her most endearing look. Surely everyone’s reaction upon seeing Ika-chan like that would be akin to Sanae’s, which is to pounce and hug it!

Due out next year February, you can find this hugging pillow cover by Broccoli up for reservation at Hobby Search and Hobby Stock.

    What about all those lovely tentacle pits in her bent tentacles? 😄

    That moe pillow cover is very cute, sadly the days of moe anime, manga, and videogames may be numbered in Tokyo. Tokyo has passed what may be called an anti-loli bill, which was expanded to cover other areas as well. Panty shots, school uniforms, and ecchi in general may be in danger. The law is very vague in its terms however, and I’m not sure exactly how strict its enforcement will be come July when it comes into play.

    I hope shows like Shin Koihime Musou can continue their ecchi, yet whimsical stories, and not be cancelled or radically censored. Since the bill is Tokyo-only, that’s not too bad, what is bad is that Tokyo is headquarters to most anime, manga, and game companies. They may just relocate, or fight the bill, but hopefully they won’t just bow to the extensive regulations.

    Don’t think there’s a reason for panic already, even though some are quite panicked or doing near fear mongering about this issue.
    While the law being vague poses definite risks to see the administration abuse its terms to enforce it and limit or harm anime/manga/eroge releases, don’t forget that whole industry still is significant enough for the Japanese government to not want to slash it so badly that it would go under. The loss of jobs and especially revenue would do them too much harm.
    Besides legitimate concerns that should be addressed or the fact some conservative administration officials may look down on that part of Japanese culture, do you think they would really cripple an industry that is financially valuable enough and generates a lot of consumption (in Japan)?

    Thanks for the reply Smithy. I posted my last comment after having just found-out that the bill passed. I was definitely panicked at first, but the more I thought about it and the more other people rationalized that the bill may not be too restrictive, I’ve certainly calmed down quite a bit. I’ll just relax for now and wait to see if anything does come of this bill.

    Not enough skin for me XD. As for the anti-moe bill thingy I’m already feeling the effects on it on my manga bids 😛 prices are going up and this is 2nd hand we’re talking about. How I loathe that governor now D:<

    Well we’ll have to see what happens.
    @Yi
    I like it because it’s cute and while in a sense it is a typical dakimakura, considering the character it’s also a jab at such hugging pillows.
    @Devastator001
    But all her tentacles are already exposed! 😄
