Kyonko art by cuteg

Browsing the different artists and circles releases scheduled for C79 highlighted in Hunting the Elusive’s Comiket watch posts, got sidetracked and was mesmerized when I stumbled upon this great artwork on cuteg’s Pixiv.
A terrific yuri image featuring Kyonko and Itsuko, the genderbent versions of Kyon and Itsuki from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya“.
Always adored Kyonko and this lovely rendition of her by cuteg (homepage nsfw) from the circle Strawberry Pink is breathtaking. The facial expressions, their poses, everything is spot on.
Although cuteg’s works tend to be more polished, I love the rougher, just past sketch atmosphere of this image and the subdued, painting-like coloring.

Oh wow, that’s an interesting couple. I was aware of Kyonko. I didn’t realize there was an Itsuki.
