New Kozue Amano artbook “Birth”

February 9, 2011

Amano Kozue (天野 こずえ), the artist who created the “Aria” manga and also draws the currently running “Amanchu!” series released a new artbook. Titled “Birth 天野こずえ Illustration Works 4”, it is her fourth art collection after the previous books “Alpha”, “Stella” and “Cielo”.

The cover art seems to feature Hikari Kohinata from Amano’s latest series “Amanchu!”, but suspect the book will no doubt also contain works from “Aria”.

The “Birth 天野こずえ画集4” book is currently available for purchase at Amazon Japan, Hobby Search and CD Japan.

Hoped to pick up Tony Taka’s book “Tony Works Ciel クロニクル” as well but alas Amazon Japan doesn’t ship it outside of Japan so decided to try out CD Japan, whom I’ve not ordered from before. Look forward to receiving them!

I’ve really fallen in love with Amano Kozue, especially after Aria and Amanchu. I’m going to try to find this.

Yes! New artbook by Kozue Amano! Wait! Amzon Japan does not ship items out of Japan anymore?! I used to buy a lot of artbooks from there (low on money lately) but I always know that they don’t ship CDs, DVDs, or games but they have now added books too?

Kozue Amano has a great style, also do love the coloring in her illustration artworks, it has a subdued painting like atmosphere perfectly fit for the worlds she creates on paper like Aqua.
Oh, rest assured that Amazon Japan ships Kozue Amano’s book “Birth” outside of japan just fine. But the other book I wanted, Tony Taka’s “Tony Works Ciel クロニクル” isn’t, that one Amazon Japan doesn’t export (due to it containing some explicit content).

I can back up what Smithy has said.

I recently ordered Kozue Amano’s Illustration Works III Cielo after putting off ordering it for the last three years and Amazon Japan shipped it over to me with no problems. It depends entirely on the content of the book, there are somethings that they won’t import, regardless.

I’m ordering Birth soon as well, I’m not going to put myself through the hassle I had to go through to find a new, unused copy of Cielo after it went out of print.

Actually received the artbooks from CDJapan with Fedex just this past Friday and “Birth” is well worth it. No really new works, but her Amanchu! illustrations and latest Aria works (manga covers, poster book images) all together in one great hardcover book is too good to pass up on. ^^
