Charles, Charlotte je t’adore

February 23, 2011

IS pilot Charles Dunoa who woed the audience in “IS: Infinite Stratos” when exposed as the reverse trap and incredibly cute Charlotte, has as expected spawned many fan artworks and images on Pixiv, many which are worth taking a look at.

Some even render the moe girl so strikingly we cannot stop ourselves from fawning over her.

This illustration by 神無あすけ (Pixiv) showcasing Charlotte’s fantasies is stunning! Like the art style used to render Charlotte but the line work, facial contours, coloring are all perfect.

Young, caring wife Charlotte in a cute pink apron there to welcome you home after a hard day’s work? Oh my!
Wouldn’t you do anything for her love?

Nice image by マーボーNEO@復☆活 (Pixiv) mimicking one of the defining scenes in the episode where “IS: Infinite Stratos” introduced Charles and where this reverse trap from France swept the audience away with her cuteness!

Wanted to feature two illustrations of Charlotte by ねくたー (Pixiv) as I quite like the artist’s style in rendering the cute maiden and the cat ears and tail are a nice bonus.

Speaking of nekomimi or cat ears, which type do you fancy, these or the ones seen below?

Daring image by ねくたー (Pixiv) of Charlotte in the rather revealing position she found herself in during the previous episode. Nothing too explicit is shown though, the levels of cute and sensual are well balanced.

Some of you may ask “Why cat ears and cat tail on Charles?” but the question is really “Why not?” Her moe levels only rise over 9000 with them!

A terrific artwork of Charlotte from コーモ (Pixiv) mimicking her blushing face, expression and pose from when Ichika stepped in on her exiting the shower.

Though here it’s a benign version, you can take a peek at コーモ’s Pixiv profile for an alternate version that is more faithful to the referenced scene, where Charlotte unwillingly bears all.

A more different art style in which 102@凸 (Pixiv) rendered Charlotte, she looks more mature somehow. The glasses look goes her well!

Nice artwork though, showing a few well placed lines and carefully rendered expression can make a girl look irresistibly even while simply tying a ponytail.

Like this style used by 伊賀たまき (Pixiv) which has just a bit of a rougher, sketch feeling to it. But with such body lines, one wonders how anyone at the IS Academy was ever deceived by Charles.

Together in the changing room with Charles looking like this? Would not be long before the reverse trap being outed as Charlotte!

Cool image of Charles aka Charlotte from 牽尾 (Pixiv). While the eye color isn’t of a hue vivid enough to be spot on for the reverse trap’s purple eyes, do like the illustration which has a nice atmosphere to it.

Its style reminds me a bit of Cagalli from “Gundam Seed”, though the resemblance is minimal.

Closing of with this image from みゆき (Pixiv) that leans more towards cutesy, moe style. Also adding a quite embarrased German IS pilot Laura Bodewig to the mix we see her and Charlotte lounging in pajamas. いただきます!

With all these great illustrations already on Pixiv, am curious to see what new works the coming weeks will bring!

If only they could hide it well making me didn’t know about reverse trap, it will be great show.

A rather lovely reverse trap! The kind of trap you love to get trapped by. XD

Kind of expecting more action with unmanned (enemy?) IS suits appearing once Laura gets added to the harem/buddy group so we might get more action and suspense the next episodes.
Maybe, they did indeed give Charles’ secret away fairly soon. A few episodes of wondering might have been nice.

I don’t watch IS at all, but I knew who she is. She’s the only person I know by name from the series. She sure is popular, and I can see why. Charlotte is adorable, especially with her embarrassed blush.

I’m liking IS a lot so far, but it is a typical harem comedy in any aspects so if you’re not into that genre can fathom the show doesn’t appeal much. Looks like Laura may provide serious competition to Charlotte with her moe blitzkrieg!

    IS isn’t as bad as some have said it to be, comparing it with previous mecha-musume animes. In fact, I love it! :3 Especially Laura who resembles one of my daughters in a way^^;
But I have a feeling that everyone is going to forget about this show shortly after the story finishes as it was with so many anime these days….

Been enjoying it a lot so far. Sure it’s nothing really novel or original but it’s a fun show.
Can fathom that, am often surprised how so many shows that I love when they air and look forward too each week slip my mind so easily once they’ve stopped airing.
Not seen that many shows lately that stick with you for years or make a real impact.

But it’s an integral part of her charm! ^^

That last image defiantly has the right idea!

Charl and Laura mesh together quite nicely like Sugar and Spice! I officially couldn’t care what the rest of the harem does, but this duo has certainly charmed me!

Am curious to see how they’ll interact in the next episode, now that Laura has gone on the offensive to conquer Ichika.
