Dollfie Dream Saber Alter 2nd ver pre-order
Those following the Dollfie Dream hobby scene are no doubt aware of Volks’ ongoing Fate project in collaboration with Type Moon to release Dollfie Dream Saber Nero from “Fate/EXTRA” and Saber Alter from “Fate/stay night”.
Yes, I am one of many who has placed an order at Volks for the upcoming Saber Alter 2nd version Dollfie Dream. Following the original release years ago, this second version features the same head sculpt but comes with a different costume and DDIII body type.
Being released through an open pre-order system at Volks with production according to order instead of a lottery with limited production, could not miss this unique chance to acquire a cute Saber Dollfie Dream at original retail price.
Must confess am not keen on Saber Nero though, but do adore Saber Alter’s aura through the unique facial expression and white skin body type. Looking at the many promotional images on Volks’ dedicated Saber Alter 2nd ver page, she will make a terrific addition to my current DD set.
Always liked the original Saber head sculpt as well as that of Saber Lily, but their limited availability kept me from buying either as the incredulously steep price tag they usually sell for is simply not worth it to me.
The shipping schedule for the earliest orders is slated for early 2012, giving me ample time to set aside the necessary funds although it will also mean waiting for quite some time before actually receiving the doll. A shame am not able to order through Volks USA as the current currency exchange rate would mean a significant saving compared to Volks Japan (International).
Considering Volks has already altered their schedule due to high amount of orders, seems that Saber Alter and Saber Nero are quite popular! Have seen many comrades write about them, including Wolfheinrich, Danny Choo, A World Through Lenses,…
Am anxious to see what photography shenanigans can come up with when she arrives next year.

The shipping schedule may be well into next year but all payment will have to completed by Nov. 7 to secure your order :s
Oh well at at least you will get your Saber Alter about 2 months earlier than those ordered from Volks USA. =) But looks like Volks USA’s down payment process allow their customer to pay around February/March time. Not sure if down payment type of order still counts as the 1st run production through. So I ended up paying them now.

The wait for them may be longer but the saving at Volks USA price compared to Volks Japan with the current currency exchange rate is quite something, for me in Europe there’s a price difference of 125Euro between Volks Japan and Volks USA.
This is the one dollfie I’d buy if I could. I think the only dollfie I’ve ever really wanted badly was the original Saber Alter and this one is just as great. Great choice I’m sure you’ll love her 😀

Now’s the time to get her as she’ll no doubt not remain at that price level, unless so many are made that the second-hand/aftermarket prices plummet.
