New Amagami SS season coming soon, Amagami SS+ plus
Spotted the news that the official “Amagami SS” website confirmed that the earlier announced second season of the anime based on the Playstation 2 dating sim game is coming in January 2012.
Titled “Amagami SS+ plus”, this new anime will be a direct sequel to the first season and feature the same omnibus format. Slated to spend two episode on each of the six heroines, looks like it will pick up right where the first season left off.
Quite liked “Amagami SS”, one my favorite things about it is the unique omnibus format that allowed each heroine to get her own moment in the spotlight. Though not all of the various arcs were that explicitly wrapped up in the first season, so there’s definitely room for a continuation.
Hope all seiyuu from the original voice cast will indeed reprise their roles as announced and that they will stick to the same fitting animation style. Looking forward to this show to air in next winter season!

I liked Amagami SS quite a lot, the format was unique and interesting.
Also the different kinds of personalitys of the female characters were very nice 🙂

The format was excellent, much better to focus on one character at a time and give them a good story than to have a plot with a wishy washy male lead who can’t decide simply because the writers don’t want to offend any of the fans.
I watched a few episodes of the first season because I was moderately interested in Morishima, the only girl out of the pack that I consider within my standard. However, I just couldn’t continue after the first two episodes due to the excessive use of puppies references… I still think Morishima has the looks though

Nope, no puppy/kitten/animal/pet for me, I dislike anything that “requires” constant maintenance.
