Meeting Nanoha

Mentioned having visited the 2011 edition of FACTS, an anime, sci-fi and fantasy convention, the highlight of that particular weekend however was meeting Dollfie Dream Nanoha!

Read on Twitter earlier that fellow DD owner Dr Cow would attend the event and bring along his lovely Nanoha Takamachi, so we soon made plans to meet up and indulge in some Dollfie Dream photo shenanigans.

Always liked the Dollfie Dream incarnation Volks made of the ace of aces from “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS“ so it was a real treat to see her up close and get the chance to capture her in front of the camera lens.

Who is Nanoha waiting for? Could she be looking forward to meet her friend Shizuko?

なのははだれに待っていますか。もしかして、友達の静子ですか。

Shizuko is killing time until Nanoha arrives.

静子はなのはに会える時前で時間潰しします。

Knowing Nanoha would be clad in school uniform, opted to bring along my Dollfie Dream Shizuko clad in the “K-ON!” uniform as she fits that uniform much better than Yoko.

Nanoha is such a cutie!

なのはちゃんは可愛いですよ。

They look like best buddies together.

一緒に…仲好 。

It was excellent weather that day, the autumn sun shone bright in a cloudless blue sky so mounted a polarizing filter on my lens.

Nonetheless, felt that most shots looked even better when processed with an additional preset in Adobe Lightroom, so only included those here.

Is Nanoha looking forward to when they shall meet again? Shizuko surely is!
