Shizuko autumn forest walk

November 17, 2011

Previously shared photos taken during a day out to the arboretum in Heverlee, showcasing the forest adorned in autumn tints of orange, yellow and brown.

Brought Shizuko with me, hoping that next to enjoying a refreshing walk amongst nature’s beauty, would find some spots suited for Dollfie Dream photography.

Shizuko in the forest

With the arboretum’s various patches of deciduous and pine trees interwoven by many paths, it was easy to find a few quiet places with decent sunlight exposure to snap some photos of Shizuko.

Autumn sun is bright

There are several rustic wooden benches and picnic tables crafted from fallen tree trunks dotted around the arboretum, quite convenient if you want to sit down for a rest or need to work on your camera equipment or doll.

Luckily, having clothed Shizuko with a loose white beanie, didn’t need to make much adjustments to the wig.

Resting against a tree trunk

With the fall sun low in the sky it was oft challenging to find the correct exposure, considering the high contrast between Shizuko placed in a brightly illuminated area compared to those parts of the forest in the shade.

Enjoying autumn

For needed variation, the other days I went out to enjoy a hike in the forest respectively took along DD Yoko and Kyouko, hope you look forward to those photos.
