Amagami SS+ plus
“Amagami SS” was an excellent romantic comedy that is unique in the harem genre due to its omnibus format, it spent four episodes on each heroine’s story after which it rebooted to focus on another main female character. A format that worked splendidly well, allowing the atmosphere and theme to fit the different stories perfectly.
This second season “Amagami SS+ plus” luckily sticks to this omnibus format and also continues each arc exactly where it left off before. While some arcs had a pleasant romantic climax, not all of them had such a specific ending, so there is plenty of room to continue.
The first arc of this sequel is dedicated to Ayatsuji Tsukasa, whose arc concluded the first season. A welcome surprise as Tsukasa is easily one of the most interesting and enthralling characters, she’s much more than meets the eye.
With only two episodes slated per arc, things moved along fast in this episode so hope the pace will not become too rushed. After an enticing opening scene of Junichi’s steamy dream about Tsukasa, the story kicked into high gear with plenty of chemistry between them both, can’t wait to see the rest!
Definitely recommend “Amagami SS+ plus” although having watched the first season is a must.
Definitely agree with you on most of what you said. I think Tsukasa was probably my 2ndstandpoint favorite from the first season.
@Emperor J
While I liked all the girls, Tsukasa was one of the more complex, realistic girls that wasn’t a simple genre type pasted on which Sae and Rihoko alas were. Possibly that’s why I also preferred characters like Ai and Tsukasa.
Indeed she was my favorite character as well since what i saw on the first season about her was totally unexpected!
I was very happy to see that a second season was planned and watched the first episode with much attention.
Only 2 episodes per arch seems to be a bit short as i would have wanted to see more of the “official” relationship between junichi and each girls.
Well anyway i like the character design very much and each one of them is interesting in their own way.

If 2 episodes per arc is enough will depend on what story they will tell and how elaborate. With the pinch Junichi ended up in after this first episode, it seems kind of a steep relationship hurdle to resolve in just the next episode. (Although we do know they make it together from the epilogue of the first season that shows Tsukasa and Junichi years later, happily married.)
