Some snapshots of Shizuko and Kyouko

February 1, 2012

Want to share some Dollfie Dream themed photos have recently uploaded to Flickr, a set of different shots of Shizuko and Kyouko.

Next to individual photos of Shizuko or Kyouko, there’s a few of both DD posed together, some shots made with the sunlight shining bright and casting deep shadows, as well as photos taken with soft indirect light.

Sisters, together

Perhaps it may feel as a more eclectic mix of images lacking a common theme, but such variation can be welcome and showcase how versatile these Dollfie Dream can be as photography subjects.

Looking at you

Although some of the other photos showcased here received more feedback and favorites on Flickr, personally love the below capture of Shizuko. She looks irresistibly cute in that pose and with the light cast on here like that.

Shizuko

Compared to the above photos where the late afternoon sunlight shining through the window blinds creates terrific play of bright light and deep shadows, the following captures have an entirely different atmosphere thanks to the soft indirect light.

Shizuko

Due to a busy schedule haven’t been able to make any captures these past days, while writing this post felt drawn to pick up the camera and indulge in some photo fun. Isn’t that really what it’s all about with amateur photography, having fun?

Lady in black and white

Wasn’t very happy how the colors came out in the original, so processed the raw using a black & white filter preset and this result is more pleasing. Think I’ll venture in trying a full black & white set sometime.

Just hanging around

Hope you enjoyed these photos, you can always see more of my Dollfie Dream photography on Flickr.

I like the fourth photo the most~ Never play with shadow much personally but the third photo came out quite good.

It is great to see though how different colors and atmosphere turn out in a photo depending on whether it is direct sunlight or indirect lighting. Personally like to lay around with both if possible.
