Saber Alter 2nd ver arrives
When Volks started their open pre-order period for Dollfie Dream Saber Nero & Saber Alter back in October last year, soon placed an order for this second version of Saber Alter, lured by its unique aura and white skin body.
Volks altered their release schedule several times so didn’t expect to see my order filled anytime soon. Hence was surprised when I got a shipment confirmation mail and Saber Alter 2nd ver arrived on my doorstep earlier this week.
Adore the included dress set, but opted to leave it sealed and not risk staining the doll with it. Having only normal skin Dollfie Dream, seeing the white skin version now is a new experience, might need some getting used to.
In contrast to the alluring face-up, improved DDIII body and gorgeous outfit, am not impressed with the quality of Saber Alter’s default Volks wig. Lots of loose strands and blemishes straight out of the box, so swiftly ordered a new wig at Leekeworld.
Actually won’t keep her Saber Alter persona, she will be 月子 (or Tsukiko, aka moon child).

I was disappointed in Saber Lily’s wig when I got it for same reason. Lots of stray hairs on the sides. Shame to hear that Alter V2 suffers from same problem.

The wig hair quality and styling itself isn’t the best it could be and the many stray hairs do make it sub-par overall. The included bow is quite nice though.

Yes, purposely looked for and chose names not only with 子 in them but that had a meaning that could match the personality I want for them.
.Congrats on the new arrival. What you said about Saber Alter wig is a bit different from what I am hearing, but Saber’s wig has always needed work before it would look good. Will have to see it myself when the V2 wig get delivered to me soon.
It’s a real shame that the dress set stains, but the doll is super cute in anything anyways! She really is super gorgeous~ ♥

Thanks! ^^ Really? The default wig included in my set is definitely lower quality/finish. But I tend to be quite demanding in terms of wig quality.

It is, might try and think of a way to line it with plastic/white cloth (not permanent of course) to be able to clad her init sometime.
