Tsukiko * purple

June 3, 2012

Titled this as such from the purple cloth background used for this particular shoot, as well as the light purple, near pink flowers and the light pink dress Tsukiko is clad in.

Lighting was soft daylight coming through a skylight and side window on a clouded afternoon. Bounced back some light on Tsukiko with a round gold reflector, though it was challenging to use on her white body type for it casts warmer light back and could easily make her look too yellow.

Previously used this sundress with subtle pink tone and black lace trim for a summer themed photo series of Shizuko, shot with the rays of the evening sun shining bright and casting deep shadows. The lighting concept was entirely different this time for Tsukiko, providing a nice contrast.

Was quite pleased with the original photos but felt the unprocessed shots lacked a bit of punch so processed the raw captures in Adobe Lightroom using the ‘who is wolf Herbst Licht‘ preset as a base and then manually tweaked it to the resulting images you see here.

Actually did process the raws using various other settings and presets as well, but ultimately opted for these as this style appealed to me the most.

Originally an SD sized dress, it does sit a bit loose on a DD, but when used in particular poses or angles it serves its purpose well.

Hope you enjoyed these photos of Tsukiko, next time will have a photo series of Atsuko for you.

Oh!… just a few pictures but these few were enough to show how beautiful and elegant Tsukiko looks on this dress, besides, those pink flowers are also a nice detail in every photo.
Quite nice, your photoshoot skills are also improving everyday, congratulations for that and of course, thanks for sharing pics with this wonderful princess to all of us, bye bye~

    Thanks! Glad you like.
I still have much to learn though, and these came out ok thanks to a helping hand from Adobe Lightroom.

Got to say that Tsukiko has got to be my favorite among your girls, the background/dress combination worked quite well together. On the note of fitting SD dress on DD body, since DD body is curvier than SD body, you can use baby pin to take up the slack and make the dress fit better against the body, just my 2 cents.

Thanks! Glad you like Tsukiko-chan this much. ^^
A safety pin is a great tip, but for a sundress like this somewhat less convenient if you want to (partially) expose the back. Plus, I might prick myself in the finger with it. XD
