Tsukiko in black & white

October 10, 2012

Showcasing some photos of Tsukiko, taken on a sunny afternoon nearly two weeks ago when the clear skies and bright sunshine created terrific light falling in through the windows.

Although the lighting was good, the original raw files had decent colors and was quite pleased with the overall result after processing these photos in Adobe Lightroom, still opted to use a black & white preset filter on them.

Chose this black & white look if only for the simple reason I actually quite like how it makes these photos look and it really suits Tsukiko. While she sports a more casual look, the black & white shots do seem to add a more sophisticated, classic atmosphere fitting the Saber Alter sculpt.

Also including a few shots of Tsukiko posed on a staircase, set in an entrance way that partly faced the sun, allowing the sunlight pouring in through the glass doors to create harsh light rays and cast deep shadows.

Even though this breezy flower pattern peasant top might not be the first fashion style one thinks to use for black & white photography, I feel it’s a great fashion match for Tsukiko.
Made by Puppy52 Dolls, have previously captured Kyouko and Shizuko clad in this lovely summer style top.

Still very happy having originally ordered the Dollfie Dream Saber Alter 2nd version. While sometimes do wish her face-up would have more detail or lip gloss, her expression and sculpt is very versatile, looking good in many angles and really stunning in some.

I love all the way you use shadows for your shots, each one is composed so beautifully. And you did a heck of a job with styling her wig too ^^b

Thanks! ^^ The wig is pretty easy, except for the bangs which are a bit long, would like to trim them someday when I can muster the courage.
