Game of shadows
Time to showcase more photos of Tsukiko, in what may appear as a similar lighting setup as seen in this photo set of her.
Although both photo series have bright sunlight and deep shadows, these particular shots were actually taken early in the morning while the previously shared images were captured in the early evening.
Choose to process several photos of this set in black & white as I really like the atmosphere it creates, making them appear more dramatic. Also, black & white photos always have a classic feel for me.
The early morning sun shone brightly through the gaps of the window rolling shutters, creating a high contrast spectacle of bright spots of light versus dark shadows.
Although such lighting can create a vivid environment with lots of punch and contrast to photograph Dollfie Dream in, discovered it can actually be quite challenging to properly pose the doll in such lighting.
Especially in terms of getting fitting light cast on the face and eyes of the Dollfie Dream.
An overly bright patch of light in the wrong spot of the face or shadows cast over the eyes which drowns them out, such things can quickly ruin the composition.
