Sunset gaze, new eyes for Dollfie Dream Atsuko

July 10, 2013

Quite some time ago, purchased a few pairs of eyes from Twin-Snow, having admired their wonderful eye creations on various dolls of other Dollfie Dream comrades.

Initial goal was to acquire a nice pair of alternate eyes to use on Atsuko, but also grabbed a nice pair of green eyes for Kyouko as I was at a loss with her then current look. Ended up installing the new eyes on Kyouko right away and unfortunately neglected to change Atsuko’s.

A few weeks ago finally took the plunge and swapped out Atsuko’s original eyes for these ‘royal’ collection models from Twin-Snow. Opted for the brown tinted ones as they perfectly match Atsuko’s wig and fit the overall look I have envisioned for her.

Preferring typical anime style elongated eyes, these are the first round styled ones I bought and have grown quite fond of them.

Rather glad to have purchased this model as it has since become discontinued. Am very satisfied with both pairs of Twin-Snow eyes used on Kyouko and Atsuko respectively, so feel tempted to try out their more recent ‘glass’ collection model too.

This time of year, late evening is perfect for captures using the warm light of the setting sun, whether it be direct rays pouring in through the window blinds, filtered through curtains or used away from the windows as indirect light source.

Pretty much settled for Atsuko with this look so expect to see more photos of her soon.
