Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san OVA

Recently watched the OVA episode of “Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san”, the hilarious yuri comedy adapted from the “犬神さんと猫山さん” four panel manga created by Kuzushiro. As a yuri aficionado who quite enjoyed watching this spring series full of silly yuri shenanigans, was looking forward to the OVA.

Regrettably, the animation by studio Seven was less than impressive, mediocre even, which is a real shame. Although the series itself featured rather plain animation with frequent quality issues, had hoped the studio would go all out on this OVA episode, but alas not.

Luckily the OVA does deliver the typical -near slapstick- yuri comedy that is the show’s trademark. Of course, what else was to be expected with Yachiyo, Suzu and Aki out on a leisurely trip to the hot springs? Hilarity quickly ensues with Suzu’s desperate attempts for skinship with Yachiyo, will Aki be able to relax at all if she has keep those two in check?

While not stellar, the OVA was nonetheless enjoyable, so if you like yuri genre shows, then you might want to check out “Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san”.
