Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai

Adapted from the adult visual novel “大図書館の羊飼い”, wanted to watch “Daitoshoka no Hitsujikai” mostly because the eroge’s illustrations were created by Bekkankou, an artist with a recognizable signature style whose work also featured in “Fortune Arterial” and “Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na”.

The original visual novel had previously spawned manga and light novel adaptations, so an anime adaptation should come as no surprise, especially considering the abundance of harem shows based on eroge that air each season.

Unfortunately was not impressed by the opening episode of “Daitoshoka no Hitsujikai”, everything about it felt rather mediocre, from the animation by studio Hoods Entertainment, the overused typical harem genre situations and the awkward pacing that failed to make the viewer curious about the full story.

Considering there’s other eroge based anime this season that did manage to capture and keep my attention, namely “Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete” and “Grisaia no Kajitsu”, will keep on watching those shows instead of “Daitoshoka no Hitsujikai”.
