Girls und Panzer final chapter confirmed as 6 part anime

Saw articles on Crunchyroll and ANN conforming that during this past weekend’s 大洗あんこう祭 event held in Oarai, the participating “Girls und Panzer” franchise cast and staff revealed that the “ガールズ＆パンツァー 最終章” aka “Girls und Panzer Final Chapter” project will be a six part theatrical anime.

The first of these six anime is tentatively scheduled for a theatrical release in December 2017. Considering the outstanding quality and significant length of “Girls und Panzer der Film”, am hoping these new theatrical anime will be an hour in length each. Or that at the very least they equal the “Girls und Panzer: Kore ga Hontou no Anzio-sen Desu!” OVA in length, which would add up to make these six new anime episodes roughly the running time of a one cour anime season.

Love the “Girls und Panzer” anime, it’s an adorable slice-of-life series of cute girls doing cute things, only this time it’s not silly shenanigans in a music club, cycling club or simply leisurely spending their days, but instead they have lots of fun and thrills driving tanks and engaging in mock battles.

It will be a long wait until the new -but unfortunately final- anime chapters of “Girls und Panzer” are here, but am sure it will be worth it!
