Dengeki Panchiranking

Dengeki publishes quite a bit of magazines, books filled with art of cute maidens, mostly known for Dengeki Hime and Dengeki Moeoh.

After being rather disappointed in the illustrations included in “Dengeki Otona No Moeoh Ice Chupi Chupa Bon”, wasn’t too sure what to expect of a book with the ominous title “Dengeki Panchiranking 2”.

Lovely illustration by Buriki, an artist I’m not familiar with yet but that looks very promising judging by this image.

All about panchira centered illustrations, “Dengeki Panchiranking 2” has tons of terrific images and surprisingly does keep to more tasteful yet still daring art. It just strikes the right balance while steering clear of looking vulgar.

This artwork by Kuramoto Kaya is adorable, one of my favorite in the book. I not only like the style but the whole scene and atmosphere is great, mixing the innocence, sensuality and embarrassment of a girl being surprised while she was relaxing in her room.

A collection of cute girls (in)voluntary showcasing their panchira, each image in “Dengeki Panchiranking 2” was created by a different artist, which gives the illustrations their own unique feeling and style.

Was happily surprised to see that not only is there an illustration included by Nanakusa, the artist who illustrated the “Shinigami No Ballad” light novels, but it’s an image of Momo to boot!

Really liked the “Shinigami No Ballad ~Momo the girl god of death~” anime and was interested in reading the light novels so when Seven seas announced they would be releasing English translated versions, purchased the first volumes.
They were entertaining to read, especially since they elaborate more on Momo’s character, and after a long hiatus it looks like volume 3 may be out soon.

Do appreciate this particular image because it is not very explicit, the pantsu are less in your face but instead the illustration relies on the atmosphere of the scene and the girls adorable surprised expression to appeal to the viewer.

Created by Kokonoka who also worked on “Wizard Girl Ambitious”, it’s a really terrific artwork, like it a lot.

While it may look very daring at first glance, the exposed skin is actually no more than when seeing an image of a character clad in a bikini or swimsuit.
The atmosphere here is more suggestive true, but I like the characters’ expressions, it’s a very moe illustration by Kasuga Ayumu.

Had originally thought the “Dengeki Otona No Moeoh Ice Chupi Chupa Bon” book would be a sure hit with its combination of girls eating ice cream under the summer sun but most illustrations let me down, they looked a tad too vulgar.
The fine line of being just the right amount of ecchi, daring was crossed, a shame.

Wanted to close off with this terrific artwork by You Shiina, an artist whose work isn’t often fitting my own personal taste but here delivered a great piece of art that I do like.
The atmosphere and lighting of that girl standing soaked in the water at sunset is really terrific.

There are also illustrations in the book by Noizi Ito, Jyuu Ayakura, Show, Yukirin…

In conclusion, a terrific artbook with daring illustrations, certainly if you’re a fan of cute anime styled girls, you can see more scans at Moe Imouto.
