Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji

Based on the “オオカミ少女と黒王子” shoujo manga created by Hatta Ayuko, have been enjoying the romantic comedy anime “Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji” even though am not especially fond of the shoujo genre.

Looking at the fall season line up, decided to give this show a try as the core plot sounded like it might make an entertaining story, and one that would be accessible enough for viewers like me who are not shoujo fans.

Considering I did enjoy “Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun”, thought I would like “Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji” too. Although both are shoujo genre shows, save for some stylistic similarities, “Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji” is turning out quite different, especially its main characters are near polar opposites.

Am somewhat apprehensive if “Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji” will be able to keep my attention for the rest of the season, the tumultuous relationship between leading pair Erika and Kyouya could become tiresome to watch if there is too little character depth offered to back it.

For now though, will keep on watching this series which is available on Crunchyroll.
