Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita OVA 3

Nagarekawa’s lovely locodols Yukari & Nanako return after the previous Christmas special for a third OVA, with a story not unlike the first OVA where they gave a tour of their town to their friends, the Awa Awa Girls.

In this new episode of “Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita”, the Nagarekawa Girls, Uogokoro-kun and their friends embark on the ambitious challenge to create a promotional video!
Though much to Nanako’s chagrin, they’re actually to make a pr style video advertising the town of Nagarekawa itself, and not a glamorous video showcasing its idols. The locodols still have plenty of screen time though, with lots of cute moments by bubbly Nanako, much to Yukari and the audience’s joy.

While it is not a stellar, unique or ground-breaking anime, “Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita” is one of those entertaining series that may not get the recognition of more popular and better titles, but nonetheless provides excellent entertainment and a lovely watching experience.

Although its production values aren’t that of renowned idol franchises “Love Live!” or “The iDOLM@STER”, this show manages to secure its own special spot in the idol genre thanks to a particular yet successful blend of slice-of-life, fluffy comedy, a few hints of innocent yuri innuendo, and an overall lighthearted atmosphere.

If you like idol series or slice-of-life comedies, then definitely give this show a try!
