Dollfie Dream girls and evening’s light

Wanted to share some photos of Dollfie Dream girls Yoko, Shizuko and Kyouko which were taken these past weeks during the evening hours, using the light of the sun low in the skies.

On days where the skies are clear, the light can become quite perfect for photography from late afternoon and early evening as the sun drops lower, creating a specific mood in the shots.

Did opt to apply a creative preset in Adobe Lightroom for some of the photos, like the one above. While the original looked nice, feel the resulting photo comes together better and has a more defined aura to it with this preset applied.

Shot this particular photo of Shizuko while I could still manage using a high shutter speed, mere minutes before the sun disappeared behind the rooftops. Adore her customized DDH03 head seen from this angle.

Was inspired by photos of Dollfie Dream comrade Mr MVP of his Haruna (a cute customized Nanoha DD) in a similar pose to create these of Kyouko.

美少女ヨコ! Of course, cannot forget about Yoko!
Am quite satisfied how this photo of her barely in the path of the sunlight coming through the nearby window worked out.

鏡子ちゃんちょうかわいい!
Kyouko is sporting some new gear recently acquired from Dollmore, the SD sized white sweater and check roll-up pants suit her well and the fit is excellent.

Most of the photos assembled in this post were actually taken on different days and with a varied set up, sometimes using indirect light and reflectors, often using direct light filtered through window blinds or stained glass.

Kyouko isn’t the only one with a new outfit, Shizuko’s sleeveless shirt and blue jeans are also SD sized items from Dollmore. With the blue jeans being quite long, they suited Shizuko’s DDII better.

The wall in below photos was illuminated only by indirect light, so used a home made reflector to bounce back some of the direct sunlight and in post-processing applied the “300” preset to them.

でも静ちゃん…そんな事は… ちょっと不安です。

Couldn’t resist inserting a slight yuri vibe.

ほら、お姉ちゃん、大丈夫ですよ、 私はいるから。

Below photos of all three DD girls together were taken with indirect light from a nearby skylight and bouncing some light back with a reflector.

Actually still have the DD girls posed like this for now as I only have two doll stands, so Yoko is holding Kyouko, preventing her from toppling over and so far that pose has proven efficient enough to secure her.
