Daily life of the Saten-Uiharu family
佐天-初春家の日常。Continuing the trend set in previous episodes, the latest “To Aru Kagaku No Railgun S” offered fans even more heartwarming scenes of Ruiko & Kazari caring for Febri.
With Ruiko apparently staying at Kazari’s place to care for the little girl together, these few scenes showcasing simple occurrences of daily life are very much like those in “Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS” when Nanoha & Fate took care of Vivio.
Since the current arc in To Aru Kagaku No Railgun S” is an anime orginal story, it is unclear what fate will ultimately befall Febri and if they will somehow keep her in Ruiko & Kazari’s life.
Considering this may interfere with events from the Railgun manga and Index novels which are much further along the timeline, do fear that these scenes that are a delight to a yuri aficionada like myself will come to an end. There is still hope!

Well, they are taking care of her temporarily to begin with – they’ve already secured a place for her in the orphanage, right? On paper, Uiharu is probably taking her in temporarily as an extension of her judgment duties, but I cannot imagine either of the two actually getting legal guardian rights over Febri at their age, no matter how capable they might be.

Give the two a chance for a healthy teenager-yuri relationship before sending them out into deep waters xD. NanoFate were adults at that point, with a stable income and careers. To begin with, Judgment was supposed to keep order /within schools/, and help the Anti-skill with odd jobs if necessary, but with Kuroko’s influence (aka rule-bending), their branch acts more like a full-time anti-terrorist cell or something. Leave them at least some of their childhood xD.

Well, they do look cute as a little family, even if it’s only for a little while. Perhaps it’s a glimpse into their future together. As much as the Misaka/Kuroko pairing seems to get more shipping, there are more hints of Uiharu & Saten becoming an actual couple within the show. M/K could be considered just wishful thinking, although I can’t see a marriage between Touma and Misaka working due to his particular curse.
