Bakutendou C76 doujin ‘Acperience 07 Tehepero’

By artist Bakutendou (爆天童) of the likewise named circle, ‘Acperience 07 Tehepero’ is a full color illustration book released at Comiket 76.

Ran into this “K-ON!” doujin by chance, hadn’t noticed it before so never looked out for it during my search for C76 books. A shame I didn’t get it as it’s a terrific visual fan book full of cute illustrations of my favorite light music club members, Akiyama Mio and Nakano Azusa.

Could only totally adore this illustration book focusing on Mio and Azusa as it’s filled to the brim with excellent art of these two lovely けいおん girls with just the right amount of implicit yuri undertone.

Even the feisty twin tailed guitar player of the light music club can look enticing when drawn in such a pose with a daring angle. 梓ーちゃんドキドキ！

While I’m not much into Bakutendou’s previous artworks as they are just a tad too cutesy and in near deformed style to my personal liking, really like how the artist rendered Mio and Azusa here.

Bakutendou managed a good balance between the usual more cutesy style and less deformed or chibi look better suited for the “K-ON!” characters.

What could possibly be cuter or more enticing that Azusa in a bathing suit? Mio in a swimsuit of course!

Love this particular rendering of Mio as Bakutendou veered away from drawing her in a skimpy two piece or daring pose, instead chose to render her in a normal swimsuit and more benign pose which all accentuates Mio’s cute side instead of blandly offering her up as a visual fanservice object.

澪先輩GET! This particular illustration inspired by the anime series second summer beach episode with Azusa pouncing Mio is just so irresistibly cute.

Both girls’ facial expressions are also spot on. While plenty of artists don’t always nail the characters look and expression, plenty are able to achieve this feat, which never ceaes to amaze me.

To close off this piece which Bakutendou fittingly gave the subtitle さわ子先生GJ. Couldn’t be any more true!
If only the light music club’s adviser Sawako had been able to dress Azusa in such a cute maid outfit in the anime series.
