Lamentations of a trapaholic

December 4, 2010

Traps, a fearsome addiction it can be! Although earlier this fall season was smitten upon seeing the lovely Shihori-hime, any promise trap Tatsukichi held was alas wasted on making his trap alter ego into an exaggerated ojousama.

Since then did not get much in the way of seeing any real enjoyable trap shenanigans other seasons had, like Kotori-chan from “Working!!” or Hideyoshi from “Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu”.

Was it this lack of cute traps, acute withdrawal symptoms? Cannot find any other plausible explanation that would reveal why the make-up scene in the latest “Shinryaku! Ika Musume” episode featuring a girly version of Takeru would solicit the same reaction as Eiko or Nagisa. かわいい!

でも、やっぱり私はショタコン じゃないよ!What is an anime fan to do to withstand the trap temptations and not succumb to such a shallow, unsuitable trap scene?

Ah, wish scans of “さざなみチェリー” (Sazanami Cherry) would have kept up now with the third volume of わあい being out. And where’s my “プラナス・ガール”?

    That scene caught my attention as well. It was kind of interesting to see the other girls be so infatuated with the kid, especially since I didn’t think he looked that good. Hehe.

    @Yi
    It reminded me of “Mahou Sensei Negima!” in the school festival arc when Negi is forced to cross dress as a mini-skirted kitsune girl and Ayaka had an explosive nosebleed seeing him like that.
    Negi in drag looked a lot cuter than Takeru here though.
